The Paint Out Norwich judges awarded Richard Bond the £1,500 First Prize donated by sponsor Chris Hind for his 13″x20″ watercolour on paper painting “Winged Victory”, a Norwich monument to lives lost in the Boer War on Agricultural Hall Plain, near Anglia TV.

Richard lives locally in Norwich and has entered all our competitions to date and also delivered a watercolour painting workshop at Paint Out Wells. He described himself as “stunned but delighted” and also had this to say:

“Congratulations to the other winners and my thanks to the organisers, judges and all the artists taking part for your encouragement, inspiration and companionship throughout the week. A tough but great week, thoroughly enjoyed it”.

Mo Teeuw, is a veteran of Paint Out Norwich 2014, and this is the second painting competition within the last few weeks she has won a prize at.  She won the Second Prize of £1000 donated by sponsor Strutt and Parker for her 14×18″ oil painting of “View of Norwich from Mousehold Heath”, done at our Mousehold Heath mass ‘paint out’.

Mo writes on her blog that:

“the last thing I was expecting was to win anything as the standard was so high so, I was more than shocked to win overall second prize and delighted I must say. Paint Out Norwich is one of the most organised and best put together events I have ever been to. There is such a fantastic team of people that work so well together – and they are SO nice. If you are even just a little bit tempted to apply for next year’s event, I would say – ‘go for it’.”
