As a member of East Anglia’s Artworks group, Alfie Carpenter is a regular performer, musician and workshop deliverer in schools and as part of Aldeburgh Music. His past and present awards, shows, and artworks for sale are listed below. His works have been exhibited at the Spiral Gallery in Debenham, Winter Exhibition at The Frame Workshop in Ipswich (2014), Art Cafe in Glandford (2014), Blackthorpe Barn in Rougham (2014), Wiveton Hall Café in Norfolk (2014), #iLike in Woodbridge (2015), Easthorpe Church (2015) and Colchester Institute (2015). Alfie was recently awarded First Prize during Paint Out Wells-next-the-Sea 2016 and Second Prize in Wells, 2015, as well as a £500 Cass Art bursary award at Norwich in 2015.
Still in his 20s, Alfie always amazes people with his ability to turn a bucket of scraps, rubbish, newspaper, and old ordnance survey maps, into exquisite art of not only rural and coastal landscapes, but also urban buildings, rendering light and shadow with paper strips and rips. He regularly sells out at Paint Out exhibitions. One to follow as his star and price tags rise.
